New Era of moon exploration is ready to be launched by NASA.

NASA is counting down to launch of its giant new moon rocket - the space launch system.

It is timed to go up from the Kennedy Space Centre on Monday at 12:33 GMT.

The main purpose of this rocket is to propel a test capsule called Orion far from Earth.

SLS will be the foundation of this Artemis project.

The main aim of this Artemis project is to put people back on the lunar surface after a 50 years absence.

This spacecraft will splashdown in the Pacific ocean in six weeks time.
